When buying or selling a property with a private well, lenders and informed buyers require verification that the water system can deliver adequate quantity and safe-to-drink quality.

Quantity Testing: Water Flow & Pressure

The properties private water system will be evaluated for capabilities ,performance and current regulatory compliance.

Quality Testing:

Lenders typically require some or all of the following testing for these contaminants:

  • Total Coliform Bacteria

  • E. coli

  • Nitrates and Nitrites*

*Additional Chemical/Compounds may be tested for by request with sufficient prior notification.  Additional sample recovery and lab fees can be quoted at that time.
